Travolta’s Saturday Night Fever Suit Headlines Propstore Auction
Propstore’s Summer Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction contains multiple iconic pieces of film and TV memorabilia, including the suit John Travola work in Saturday Night Fever and a mosquito in amber prop from Jurassic Park. Over 1,700 lots of props, costumes, production material, autographed items, and other entertainment memorabilia are offered in the four-day auction on August 26-29, 2026. It will be conducted live in Los Angeles, as well as online, absentee, and by telephone bidding.
Dancing its way to the top of the auction highlights is Tony Manero’s (John Travolta) white suit from Saturday Night Fever that he wore during the disco competition, as well as in promotional images. The three-piece suit was owned by film critic Gene Siskel and bears an inscription from Travolta.
Frank the Rabbit’s (James Duval) principal costume from Donnie Darko is being offered during the year of its 25th anniversary. The costume from the cult hit film was previously exhibited at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Prop lots are led by a mosquito in amber fossil from the opening scene of Jurassic Park. The prop is screen-matched to the iconic opening scene that served as a basis for the scientific breakthrough that set the movie’s events in motion.
The auction whips up some magic with a Golden Snitch from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. It is one of the first six examples created by well known prop maker Pierre Bohanna, and was used on set by cast and crew as a lighting and scale reference.
The prop and costume highlights continue with Edward Scissorhands’ (Johnny Depp) Scissorhands with attached gloves, Batman’s (Michael Keaton) Batsuit from Batman Returns, and Leeloo’s (Milla Jovovich) screen-matched light-up multi pass from The Fifth Element.
Jack Torrance’s (Jack Nicholson) stunt axe from The Shining, Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) light-up Iron Man Mark 46 upper body armor, and Michael Jackson’s Were-Cat prosthetic teeth from the “Thriller” music video are also among the featured lots.

The first day on August 26 includes in-room bidding at The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, as well as online, absentee, and telephone bidding. It starts at 9:30 AM PT/12:30 PM ET.
Days 2-4 on August 27-29 start at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET with online, absentee, and telephone bidding.
