MyComicShop is celebrating Independence Day by opening their July Prime Auction. Over 2,000 comics, pulps, and original art pieces will be up for bid starting on July 4, 2026.

The selection ranges from the Golden Age all the way to the present with pre-code classics like Terrific Comics #5 CGC 3.0, a Silver Age standout in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 CGC 9.8 (one of only five copies at top grade), Swamp Thing’s debut in House of Secrets #92 CGC 9.2, oddball modern keys like Malibu Sun #13 CGC 9.8 signed by Todd McFarlane, hot new books like Absolute Batman #1 CGC 9.8, and high grade incentive variants like Amazing Spider-Man #27 CGC 9.9 with Lee Bermejo’s 1:100 cover.

Their original art offerings include some patriotic pieces like Butch Guice’s cover for Captain America The 1940s Newspaper Strip #3 and a Captain America #9 fight page by Joe Bennett and Mark McKenna. For a look back at American history, they have two pages by Jack Kirby – an oversized Sunday entry of the Johnny Reb comic strip and a page from Classics Illustrated’s War Between the States. They also have pages from DC’s iconic war comics including an Our Army at War page by Joe Kubert featuring all of Easy Company engaged in an aerial battle.

The auction will begin closing with pre-1960 titles on Monday, July 13.

MyComicShop is always buying and accepting consignments from across the country. For anyone considering selling or consigning a larger quantity of comics, MyComicShop can schedule a trip immediately to pick up a sufficiently large collection. Collectors can also schedule a pickup to coincide with one of their convention trips in 2026.

They will be at Baltimore Comic-Con in Baltimore, Maryland on September 25-27, buying comics and accepting consignments at their booth and pick up material in the surrounding areas and on their journey to Texas. At OAFCon in Norman, Oklahoma on October 23-25, MyComicShop will buy books and accept consignments.

MyComicShop can be reached at either (817) 670-8115 (call or text) or sellerservices@mycomicshop.com to arrange a pickup or drop-off at a convention.
