Heritage is hosting a showcase auction of crime, horror, and suspense comics from the Jack and Joan Homkow Private Collection. From 1990 to 2020, the couple compiled a collection of 2,000 comic books that were primarily from American Comic Group, Charlton Comics, and lesser known publishers.

Jack began reading comics as a kid, then his passion for the hobby was reignited after he attended a comic convention in ’90. Starting then, the Homkows began building their collection, and Heritage is now selling it across multiple showcase auctions.

Next up, are the horror, crime, and suspense genre books from a host of publishers like Harvey, Fawcett, Trojan, Ziff-Davis, and others. Some of the top lots are Harvey Comics Library #1 “Teen-Age Dope Slaves” Mile High pedigree CGC 6.0, The Thing! #12 CGC 9.0 and #13 CGC 8.0, Black Cat Mystery #45 CGC 8.0 and #53 CGC 8.5, and This Magazine is Haunted #14 CGC 6.5.

The auction includes Beware #14 (#2) CGC 8.0, Chamber of Chills #21 (#1) CGC 7.5, Mysterious Traveler Comics #1 Vancouver pedigree CGC 9.2, Undercover Girl #5 CGC 9.4, Weird Terror #3 CGC 7.0, Racket Squad in Action #12 CGC 9.2, and The Crime Clinic #10 (#1) Mile High pedigree CGC 9.2.
