The World’s Finest of DC Comics need help from none other than the maestro of musical parody. Weird Al Yankovic is jumping through dimensions on an adventure with the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight in Batman/Superman/Weird Al: World’s Weirdest #1.

The 40-page one-shot is written by Mark Waid with what DC describes as “vibes” from Yankovic, and features art and a main cover by Dan Schoening. Batman/Superman/Weird Al: World’s Weirdest #1 will be in comic shops in September 2026.

“The fifth dimension is being hit with an affliction that turns everything dull and ordinary, but as Mr. Mxyzptlk reaches out to Superman and Batman for help, the same plague has struck Earth! Instead of dialing H for a hero, there’s only one person to call: ‘Weird Al’! Get ready for a wild one-shot where the one and only ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic joins the World’s Finest team!” according to the description.

It will come with variant covers by Mark Spears, Riley Rossmo, Jerry Gaylord, and a foil cover by Schoening.

This special comes on the heels of Weird Al’s recent variant cover appearances on a Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #50 variant and as “Totally Normal Al” on a Bizarro: Year None #1 – both drawn by Dan Mora. Before that, Weird Al brought his signature comic sensibility as the guest editor on an issue of MAD Magazine.
