Ben Reilly has been through a lot in his lifetime, and those experiences will help him on a case that gets stranger by the minute. Prime Video released a new trailer for Spider-Noir that reveals more about the plot and characters that Ben will face.

Ben (Nicolas Cage) is a private investigator wrestling with his past while also working as a superhero in New York City. The latest trailer introduces crime boss Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson) and teases the appearance of individuals with superpowers – like Megawatt and Sandman – in New York City. Femme fatale Cat Hardy (Li Jun Li) comes to Ben’s office to hire him to find her missing friend.

When Ben is thrown off a tower, he flashes back to a failed attempt to save someone and scientific experiments, before using his webshooter to save himself. Journalist Robbie Robertson (Lamorne Morris) encourages Ben to let go of losses from his past and redeem himself by solving the current situation. The black and white trailer closes with a scene in True-Hue full color of Ben and his secretary Janet (Karen Rodriguez) at a diner.

Spider-Man Noir was created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Carmine Di Giandomenico as a part of the Marvel Noir comic line. Set during the Great Depression, his first story follows Spider-Man on his quest to take down New York’s criminal underground and its leader, Norman Osborn.

Cage debuted as the character in animated form in the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse; this is his first foray as Ben Reilly in live-action.

Co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot developed the series with the Into the Spider-Verse team of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Harry Bradbeer is directing the first two episodes.

The cast also includes Abraham Popoola, Andrew Lewis Caldwell, and Jack Huston.

The eight-episode Spider-Noir series will begin streaming on Prime Video on May 27, 2026. Viewers will have the option to watch show in black and white (keeping with the 1930s film noir theme) or in True-Hue full color.
