Heritage Auctions has launched the new direct sales platform, Comic Books and Comic Art Boutique. Described by Heritage as “a curated selection” of comics, the platform will present Golden Age to contemporary books offered for a fixed price. This is the first time they are publicly offering comics at a fixed price.

The Comic Books and Comic Art Boutique will run alongside Heritage’s comic and art online auctions. The boutique page “simplifies the path for direct sales with an intuitive, easily navigated online resource for immediate purchases,” per Heritage. The page’s initial offerings include the complete story art for Sgt. Fury #5, Marvel Comics #1 October copy from 1939, Charles Schulz Peanuts daily and Sunday comic strip original art, and more

“As the leading worldwide Comics and Comic Art auction house, we constantly strive to increase the cultural visibility and appreciation of this great artform that we all love, not only through record-setting prices at auction, but exhibitions in our galleries, displays at conventions around the world, helping facilitate museum exhibition loans and advising collectors on every aspect of their collecting,” said Todd Hignite, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Comic Art. “We’re proud of the trust shown from our worldwide collector base generated by our commitment to all aspects of comics and their history, and this direct sale service is one more important resource we’re proud to introduce to our community.”

The material offered for sale will be updated regularly and collectors interested in selling comparable material can contact Heritage by email.

Heritage has previously worked in direct sales via private transactions. Some of their high value private sales have included Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer 6 for $1.95 million, and the sale of Batman #1 CGC 9.4 and Superman #1 CGC 8.5 Mile High pedigree for a combined $13 million.
