Grading Guide Gets Limited Big, Big Treatment
As we announced recently, with the previous edition selling on eBay for $90 – $130 on a regular basis, the time is now for a new edition of The Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics… But now there’s more to the story!
“The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, our annual, oversized, limited edition version of the Guide, has been a steady seller since it was introduced years ago, but we’ve never created a Big, Big version of The Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics,” said Mark Huesman, Editor-Print for Gemstone Publishing. “Until now!”
“We’re going to test this out on a very limited basis to see how much demand there is for it. If it works out, we’ll make a regular offering of it going forward,” said Amanda Sheriff, Gemstone’s Editor-Digital.
This very limited edition will be available exclusively to backers on Zoop, the crowdfunding platform known for such projects as Scott Dunbier’s award-winning Comics For Ukraine: Sunflower Seeds anthology and Howard Chaykin’s acclaimed graphic novel adaptation of John Benteen’s Fargo: Hell on Wheels. Follow the sign-up page to be notified of the project’s upcoming launch.

Of course, the standard hardcover and soft cover versions of The Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics – Seventh Edition will be distributed to the comic book specialty market by Lunar, Universal, and Diamond UK and to the book trade by SCB Distributors.
Like the standard edition, the book opens with lively, comic-style introductory material, and features the material fans, collectors, dealers, and comics historians have come to trust over decades:
- The 10-point grading system
- Exhaustive descriptions of Primary and Split Grades
- More than 200 full-color image examples
- Profiles of third-party grading companies
- And detailed information on
- Storage
- Preservation
- Restoration
- The Evolution of Grading
- Much more
The Big, Big Overstreet Guide to Grading Comics will be 368 full-color pages at the same size as The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. It’s scheduled to ship in July 2026.
