Hellraiser Comic Omnibus Scheduled for Nov. 2026
Clive Barker’s twisted nightmare stories about demonic figures that torture people is returning to comics in the Hellraiser Omnibus Vol. 1. Published by BOOM! Studios, the book is filled with over 500 pages of comics starring Pinhead, the Cenobites, and their victims.
“I’m delighted to be partnering with BOOM! once again to create comics and graphic novels that will introduce both wild new projects, in addition to creating radical new visions of the kind of dark mythologies I’ve always been known for,” Barker said. “There are a lot of doors waiting to be opened, and worlds of weird fantasy and horror waiting on the other side.”
The omnibus contains the Hellraiser #1-10 comic series that was published in 2011 and the Hellraiser Annual #1. Crafted with Barker’s creative guidance, the series is a canonical continuation of his original story.
Barker introduced Pinhead, the Cenobites, and their pain-is-pleasure theme 40 years ago in his 1986 novella, The Hellbound Heart. The story was quickly adapted into the Hellraiser movie in ’87, with Doug Bradley stepping into the roll of Pinhead and Ashley Laurence as the young woman who would try to save herself from being tortured. It spawned a franchise of 11 films, novels, comics, statues, action figures, and other collectibles.
“We had a hell of a run when we first published Hellraiser comics back in 2011,” BOOM! Deputy Publisher Bryce Carlson said. “That content is long out of print and hard to come by, but we’re reopening the Lament Configuration 15 years later and unleashing hell once again for all the incredibly patient fans out there.”
