Prince Adam reacquaints himself with his home world and is reintroduced to its inhabitants in the new trailer for Masters of the Universe. The newest footage provides a deeper look into Eternia, as well as the heroes and villains who live there.

The trailer starts with Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) being dragged into a jailcell where he reminds other prisoners who he is, as shots of characters like Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba) and Teela (Camila Mendes) are shown. He tells them about being stuck on Earth and how he’s always tried to get back home. But when he finally does see Eternia again, Adam is struck by how much it has been damaged by Skeletor (Jared Leto).

Viewers get longer looks at King Randor (James Purefoy), Queen Marlena (Charlotte Riley), Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie), and Trap Jaw (Sam C. Wilson). Adam embraces the power to become He-Man in a scene that is reminiscent of the 1980s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series. Battles in the forest and a confrontation with Skeletor follow, and there are two scenes that add a little humor to the trailer.

Masters of the Universe is directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee) with a screenplay by Chris Butler (ParaNorman), Aaron Nee and Adam Nee (The Lost City), and Dave Callaham (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse).

The cast also includes Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, Kristen Wiig voicing Roboto, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Sasheer Zamata as Adam’s coworker Suzie, James Wilkinson as Mekaneck, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, and Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man.

Masters of the Universe is set for theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
