
Propstore Entertainment Auction Realizes $6.5M on First Day
Propstore’s Spring Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction opened with a bang, selling over 250 lots of film and TV props and costumes for $6.5 million. The auction began on March 25, with the final lots closing on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Sales were topped by a C-3PO light-up head from The Empire Strikes Back that sold for $1.05 million. This is the only known example of Threepio’s head from the second Star Wars movie.

The auction offered key pieces from Jaws, starting with Quint’s (Robert Shaw) screen- and photo-matched W.W. Greener Light Harpoon Gun Mark II with screen-matched case and custom SFX shark dart that went for $327,600. His screen- and photo-matched Fenwick Deluxe 670 130 lb. fishing rod with production-used Penn Senator 16/0 reel brought $239,400. A shark tooth clapperboard snapped up $81,900.
Shards of Narsil from The Lord of the Rings trilogy reached $252,000. Chuck Noland’s (Tom Hanks) screen-matched Wilson volleyball from Cast Away and Maximus’ (Russell Crowe) arena helmet and mask from Gladiator each cleared $189,000. Captain Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) screen-matched and photo-matched flintlock pistol from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and On Stranger Tides realized $170,100. The screen-matched Ghostface mask from Scream 2 that came from the Allen Robinson Collection sold for $126,000.
A golden ticket from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory saw $107,000. The T-800’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) screen- and photo-matched jacket from The Terminator hammered for $94,500. The screen-matched Shorty Klown head from Killer Klowns from Outer Space totaled $81,900. Batman’s (Christian Bale) cowl from Batman Begins went for $75,600.
