Marvel and DC are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man, their first crossover, with a new match-up between the Man of Steel and the Wall Crawler. Similar to 2025’s Batman and Deadpool crossover, each publisher will release a special one-shot starring the two characters. First up is Superman/Spider-Man from DC in March 2026, followed by Spider-Man/Superman #1 from Marvel in April.

The Spider-Man/Superman one-shot features a main story written by Brad Meltzer and illustrated by Pepe Larraz that will see the two heroes going up against two of their greatest foes: Norman Osborn and Lex Luthor.

The specials will be filled with backup stories, including the recently announced Supergirl and Ghost-Spider tale by writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Phil Noto. There’s also another Spider-Man/Superman story by creators Jeph Loeb and Jim Cheung.

“Spider-Gwen and Supergirl both represent different kinds of strengths and powers, but they’re united by their compassion and resilience,” Phillips said. “I really loved the chance to let these heroes save the day together and have fun doing it. And Phil Noto on art just takes it to another level. Kara, Gwen, and I are lucky to have him!”

“How often do you get to land on the moon? Travel back in time? Be a part of history? That’s what it was like when Marvel asked me to be part of Spider-Man/Superman!” Loeb said. “It’s a short story that I’d like to think emotionally connects with Spider-Man: Blue and Superman for All Seasons, two of my favorite things I’ve written. Then, the most incredible part is that the incomparable Jim Cheung is illustrating the story giving it the perfect feel! See you there!”

Marvel also revealed several more Spider-Man/Superman covers by popular artists. Gary Frank created a cover that shows the heroes and their families against Mysterio; Humberto Ramos previews his story with Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang; Frank Miller illustrates the armored Superman, Spider-Man, and Dark Knight; E.M. Gist draws the heroes soaring in the air; Skottie Young draws the heroes in his signature style; and a logo mash-up variant depicts Superman and Spider-Man’s classic logos on the front with the Venom and Bizarro logos on the back.
