31,097 Posters in eMoviePoster Bulk Lot Auction
eMoviePoster’s Sunday biweekly auction contains 860 bulk lots with 31,097 items, which will close on March 8, 2020. Because every lot starts at $1 with no reserve or buyer’s premium, many lots will sell for under wholesale prices, and some will sell for pennies per item.
Some of the best in this Sunday auction have folded one-sheet lots grouped by decades, including some that cover the 1940s through the 1990s and others focused on shorter time ranges. These contain anywhere from 25 to over 100 posters from all movie genres.
There are several lots filled with 8” x 10” stills ranging from the 1930s to the 1990s, with over 100 in each lot. The auction contains large groups of lobby cards ranging from around 150 to 430 cards, grouped by multiple decades or some focused in a particular decade, like the ’40s and ’60s.
Additionally, there’s a lot of 12 folded Topps posters, lot of 2 German 1930s cigarette card albums, 54 horror and sci-fi lobby cards from the 1950-1960s, 24 Swiss Star Wars lobby cards, 25 folded one-sheets, stills, and sheet music from the 1910s-1980s, 29 folded Hong Kong Kung Fu posters, 20 sci-fi and horror folded one-sheets from 1960s-1970s, 45 Universal masterprints, 12 Dixie Ice Cream premiums from the ’50s, 20 Man from Uncle lobby cards from the ’60s, and 17 formerly folded Egyptian posters.
Three surprising results from the auction of inserts, half-sheets and non-U.S. posters that ended on March 3 were Magnificent Ambersons insert for $1,092, Thunderball 12 Italian photobustas for $980, and a Japanese My Neighbor Totoro poster for $443.
eMoviePoster doesn’t just auction U.S. and international movie posters. They also auction tens of thousands of vintage stills, lobby cards, as well as scripts, all sorts of special non-movie posters (including lots of war and travel posters, plus Mondo signed limited editions), autographed items of every kind, and more.
They add around 3,500 new lots in their biweekly auctions, every two weeks on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday – which has culminated to over 1,671,000 items. Collectors interested in bidding with them can sign up on their registration page.
Their April Major Auction starts on March 31 and runs until April 19. Those interested in selling through eMoviePoster can learn more about consigning on their website.
