In recent days Kiefer Sutherland, who plays hardened Counter Terrorism Unit
agent Jack Bauer, confirmed that plans have firmed up for the much-discussed
theatrical film version of Fox TV’s hit show 24.

On Friday, the
BBC reported that Sutherland had confirmed the film will shoot in
England.

“We’re working on that,” they quoted him as saying. “We’ll shoot
the film here. We’re really excited about it.”

The film will also
reportedly shoot in Prague and other locations. It will also not be 24 hours
long, unlike a season of the TV show. Each season of the show depicts one day in
Agent Bauer’s life.

Sutherland recently signed on for three more years on
the show, and filming is set to start next year during the show’s hiatus for a
2007 or 2008 release.

While 24 is presently a solid combination of
ratings and critical success, the movie could be a huge success, building on its
licensed video game, comic books and other products. On the other hand, it could
